My name is like the number 6 because 6 are the same amount of letters in my name.

6 Is also a happy number like my name? My name is like the color yellow. If my

name were a flower it would be a sunflower, if I were an animal I would be a koala

because when I think of my name as an animal that’s the first thing that pops into

my mind. If I was an emotion I would be happy because my name reminds me of

yellow, which Is a happy color. In Greek Sophia means wisdom. There is also tons of

 people and celebrity’s with my name. Sophia was the most popular girl name of

2012. There are many adjectives that start with s such as sophisticated and sarcastic

or sad. Another animal my name reminds me of is a cat, a lot of cats and dogs have

the name Sophia. No one else in my family has the name Sophia, im the only one. I

 wouldn’t say my name is special or unique because so many people have it, but I

would say my name fits me. Sophia sounds like a fall or spring name There is a place

named Sofia but is spelled with an f instead of a ph. Overall I like my name and I

think it fits me.

                                                     Book Title:The Giver



 The main character in The Giver by louis lowry is Jonas, Jonas tells the story. The story starts off with Jonas age 11 living in a community that doesn't have pain,war,fear,hatred,etc.Everyone looks and acts the same and it is rare to have competition. every community member who turns 12 will be assigned a job based on there interest and skills.If a community member fails to do something or doesn't adapt right they will be released also know as death.They tend to do this so things are more organized in there community.
    Jonas lives with his 2 parents, mother,father, and his little sister lily.At the ceremony of 12 where Jonas gets his job assigned he waits to get called. Jonas was called last because he had the biggest job, the receiver, the receiver is the receiver of memories and this job may cause pain which also makes it a big job because there is no pain in the community.Jonas receives the memories from the past receiver an old man at the time who is called the giver, that is why the book is called the giver.
    The giver sends memories to Jonas by holding onto his hands and then they go into a memory, the memories are different then Jonas's life because some cause pain and they all have color which Jonas is not used to.Jonas later understands feelings and wants to share them with his family but his family doesn't approve.What Jonas does to understand feelings and love more is he put some his blood on an apple and then scanned it so he wouldn't have to take his morning pill which made him forget stuff.
     Later in the story this baby at the nurturing center named Gabriel is having sleeping problems,what Jonas does is he transfers memories to Gabe to make him feel better and sleep better.Jonas begins to get attached to Gabe and later he finds out he is going to be released so the giver and Jonas set up a plan for Jonas to escape the community.
    Jonas finally decides to escape with Gabe because he was going to be released the next day.When Jonas escapes he goes to this place called elsewhere with Gabe where he can see color and if he walks long enough he will pass a line and everyone in the community will be able to see color and remember memories. A long sled ride after Jonas passes the line is a christmas house which he knows was meant for him and Gabe.
